Your files and text
Most tools on this site run in your browser. Files you select and text you enter are processed on your device and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
The exceptions are the tools marked as AI-powered (for example the caption generators and the image alt text generator) and the website checkers (redirect checker and canonical URL checker). When you use one, the text, the downscaled image or the URL you enter is sent to our server and, for AI tools, to an AI model to produce the result. We do not keep it after the response is returned. Do not enter confidential information into these tools. To apply fair-use limits we keep a short-lived daily counter against your IP address, which expires automatically.
Information we collect
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are used, such as page views, referrers, device type and approximate country. It runs in consent mode: in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, analytics cookies are not set until you accept them in the consent message, and until then Google receives only limited, cookieless pings. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default. You can change your choice at any time using the "Ad choices" link in the footer. Your browser may store preferences locally (for example theme and recently used tools). You can clear these in your browser settings.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where you consent. In the UK and EEA, a consent message lets you accept, reject or manage choices, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Ad choices" link in the footer. You can also manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. More information is available in Google's advertising policy.
Third parties
Some tools load open-source libraries from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, correction and deletion over personal data we hold. Because we hold very little, requests are usually simple. Contact us via the contact page.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13.
